Adam Bennett Schiff is the current chairman of the United States House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. He has served as the US representative for California’s 18th district since 2001. This 60-year-old lawyer cum politician was born on the 22nd of June. Who is Adam Schiff born to?

Parents

Schiff was born in Framingham, Massachusetts. His parents were Edward and Sherrill Ann (Glovsky) Schiff. Both were Jewish. His father, Edward Schiff, was born on 29 February 1928. Though not highly educated, Adam’s father worked as a salesman for a trouser company and later ran his building supplies yard. With such an entrepreneurial spirit, Edward Schiff never gave up easily. He is still going strong at the old age of 91.

As for Adam’s mother, Sherill Ann (Glovsky), Schiff was born in 1933 to her father, Harry Glovsky, and her mother, Marcie Glovsky. Equipped with education from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, Boston University of Communication, Boston Massachusetts, she worked in real estate. Sadly, she passed away in 2008 at the age of 75 due to Alzheimer’s. Edward and Sherill Ann (Glovsky) Schiff were married for 52 years before she passed away.

Siblings

Adam Schiff grew up with one sibling. He has an elder brother named Daniel Schiff. Daniel was born on the 20th of February 1958. Similarly, he is two years older than Adam. Both Adam and Daniel were born in Massachusetts; however, one became a prominent figure, the other liked to stay in the shadow.

Moreover, Daniel Schiff was born at Beth Israel Hotel. As of now, Daniel is married to Amy Sporer and has two children. They are Rachel Schiff and Frank Schiff.

Wife and Children

Apart from his parental family, Adam has a new family consisting of his wife and children.

Adam met his wife, Eve Schiff, on a tennis court in 1990, and just five years later, they tied the knot in 1995. At that time, his wife was pursuing tennis professionally. However, Eve stopped playing tennis after having kids.

Eve Schiff was raised as Catholic. Adam and Eve decided to raise their children as Jewish. As of today, they have two children; Lexi Schiff, of age 21, and Elijah Schiff, of age 17. Moreover, their eldest daughter, Lexi, is a pre-med student at Northwestern University.
